DEFIC GLOBE, a global energy solutions brand operating under the YEO Group, has signed a strategic partnership agreement with Shanghai Electric Power (SEP) for the development of a 129 MWp solar power plant in Bucharest, Romania. The total investment value of the project is €65.8 million and marks a significant step forward in the group’s European growth strategy.
Major Renewable Investment in Europe’s Energy Transition
The partnership ceremony held between DEFIC GLOBE and SEP represents a long-term commitment to accelerating clean energy transformation in the region. To be located in Bucharest, solar power plant will be a flagship project, further solidifying the YEO Group’s position in the European energy landscape.
As part of the agreement, YEO Teknoloji will deliver turnkey construction, including engineering services, high-voltage substation setup, and the installation of power transmission lines. The construction phase is set to begin in the near term, with operations planned to support both Romania’s and Europe’s climate and sustainability goals.
